while on the internet, i found reposts of my work on reddit. this has happened to many other artists too, and putting this disclaimer for my own work on my twitter isn’t enough.
when sharing art on reddit, LINK BACK TO THE POST. do NOT do this:
this was posted by the same person, and MANUALLY UPLOADED as an image. DO NOT DO THIS. this makes it harder to find the ORIGINAL POST and ARTIST, even if you put the username in the post title. just because you put the username there doesn’t mean anything. we don’t know what platform the user is on. AND, most of all, the user might even already have a reddit account.
so, in short,
post the URL and DO NOT UPLOAD THE IMAGE MANUALLY. by doing the latter you are MAKING IT HARDER TO FIND THE SOURCE OF THE ART.
preferably don’t post my work on reddit at all, if i want to post it there i will. i have an account.

QUICK CORRECTION-
the mods are volunteers, they weren’t paid nor did they ask for pay
what they’re upset about is that Takaia is pocketing all the donation money rather than using it to update and improve the site, plus a lack of communication on getting things done yet refusing to let more mods/staff pitch in, so they’re quitting as protest.
the moderators want the event to keep going for the sake of the participants, but ArtFight’s future is dubious unless Takaia cleans up their act.
This does not mean to not continue using the site
Put stress on the servers, continue to report suspicious behavior. We need to make it clear that they need moderation teams and to treat them better with respect. We need to make it clear that the servers need to be better and paid for else the site will go down with the sheer number of users.
I wish the leaving mods the best, I hope the remaining team members the best. ( Except for the owner. )
This was not the only piece of information that was brought up but was the largest. This comment by ELGURITCH on Toyhouse goes into depth on the suspicious actions of Takaia made in September of last year. The forum post it was commented on goes into depth with the other things.
I have my own god awful experiences with the admin team. I’m glad people are coming out about the groomers that were reported on the site. I hope people will be finally safe and well.

Tumblr reverted some of the asinine app decisions they made after a concerted feedback effort! So make sure to use this form! It’s what it’s for, but it’s not well advertised!

if i were to name them it would be, from left to right: ms stick (stick in general seems unmarried), peppina, gustava, brickette, noise, and noisette. reason noise and noisette don’t swap names is 1) funny, and 2) noisette in french stands for hazelnut and i feel like with him running a cafe it fits too well to change. also these two just feel very gender nonconforming, hence why noise still keeps her moustache in costume
also peppina is still a hairy italian woman imo. we need more hairy women anyhow
